B.Tech has more value and its duration is less than BCA and MCA. To complete BCA and MCA, you need 6 years and to complete B.Tech you need 4 years.

This will include software development, software testing and etc. Core jobs related to JAVA and others languages will also be available. You might go for different profile like JAVA, Python, Android Development, Networking, Oracle, SQL, Database Management and others. There are various options available.

You can do BCA but you have the basic knowledge of computer application. And best college in Punjab is CGC Landran College but if you want best placements then go to Christ University Karnataka Bangalore. I will not force you. I am also going there for BCA next year even I live in Punjab. Best of luck

If you get admission in B.Tech. then try to do. But if for any reason like low percentage in 12th you're not able to get admission in B.Tech. then definitely enroll in BCA. The combination of BCA + MCA is equivalent to B.Tech. in C.S./I.T.
Therefore, by doing either B.Tech. or BCA + MCA you can become software engineer.

To become a Software developer and write software, you do not require Computer degrees. But to get a job as a Software Developer, you require degree such as B.Tech CSE/IT, MCA etc. Indian IT industry employ non-computer Science degree holders as Developer also, but this trend is slowly going down.
