BCS is basically for those students who want to do further study with combination of Core math and computer OR make career in Applied Mathematics where mathematics can be used with help of computer Science knowledge like computer programming.
Its just like same B.E and B.Tech, B.E degree awarded in old engineering colleges whereas for last 10–15 years B.Tech is rewarding.
there is not a big difference, just B.tech degree gained more practical exposer than theoretical like in B.E.
