Cornell University received over 64,900 applications for admission cycle of 2025-26 out of which university only accepted about 5,824 students. No. of enrollees on other hand stood at 3,500+. These statistics suggest that Cornell Univ acceptance rate is around 8.9% making the admission criteria extremely selective.

The university is about an hour north of Binghamton, three hours from Niagara Falls, an hour south of Syracuse.
