To get admission into BTech courses at Somaiya Vidyavihar University, candidates are required to complete the primary eligibility criteria first, which states applicants must complete their Class 12 from the PCM stream and study one of the optional subjects from (Chemistry/Biotechnology/ Biology/Technical Vocational subjects).

Additionally, the university also offers lateral entry admission to several BTech specialsiations. The names of some of the offered BTech specialisations are Computer Science Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, etc. To get admission into this engineering course, candidates must have completed their higher senior secondary with a minimum of 45% aggregate.
