Hi Ayushi,
No, there is no such criteria of mark deduction or anything. You can simply apply to the colleges that you are interested in and appear for their entrance exam. Admission in Mass Communication is irrespective of the stream you had in your 10+2 standard.

Hi, Sorry to say but I doubt if you can get admission in DU because its cut-off goes very high. But there are many other good universities in India, you should try them.

Hi Latika!
Yes, the admissions in DU are largely merit based. Although the university is changing its norms every year and is gradually making the admission process to be based on entrance examinations rather than merit. But as of now, cut-offs play a major role in admission. Every college has a different percentage cut-off and mostly 3 or more cut-off lists are published consecutively. You will have to keep a tab on newspaper to track the cut-offs.

Hello Sakshi, It's indeed great to see your interest in environment studies inspite of graduating in electronics & communication. But these days admissions to all PG seats are based in some or the other entrance exam. Majority of colleges or universities accept GATE. Unfortunately admissions to PG, based on merit of graduation is non existent to my knowledge.

Hi Akash,
As for now, it appears that admission to all the colleges under DU offering B.Com or B.Com (Hons) will be done on the basis of entrance examination. However, nothing much about the same has been mentioned on the official website.

It's the most affordable university to study. The fee is Rs. 6800 to Rs. 7000 a year which includes everything from examination fee to tuition fee and library fee. It's paid in two half. Firstly, around 4500 to 4600 at the beginning of year and the rest of 2200 in alternate Sem. i.e in the second half.
