The qualifying cut-off is the minimum marks a candidate needs to score in the paper to get shortlisted. Part B answer booklets will only be evaluated if the candidate gets shortlisted.

So, if you don't meet Part A cut-off marks, you will not get shortlisted and you Part B answer booklets will not be evaluated. Also, note that only shortlisted candidates will be assigned a merit rank in CEED 2026.

IIT Roorkee doesn't offer PhD in Design course through CEED. It only offers a MDes in Industrial Design. Admission to the M.Des programme will be based on CEED 2026 merit rank. The candidate will have to apply directly to the participating college once results are declared.

The candidate must note that IIT Bombay is only responsible for conducting the CEED Entrance exam. Unlike UCEED, it will not conduct any Joint Seat Allotment.  

This means the eligibility criteria prescribed by IIT Bombay is limited to appearing in the CEED 2026 exam. Further, the participating institutes of CEED 2026 will individually determine the eligibility criteria for the M.Des courses. No, IIT Bombay will not send the hard copies of CEED 2026 Scorecard. The scorecard of CEED will be issued only in online mode. The candidate has to download it from the CEED admission portal - ceed.iitb.ac.in. To download the scorecard, log in by entering your email id and password. 

Candidate can calculate probable scores using CEED 2026 answer key. Draft key was released on January 20, 2026.

Using key, candidate can calculate the number of correct attempts. Candidate needs to follow marking scheme to calculate probable score. One purpose of probable score is that it will help to know their chances of admission even before CEED results are declared.

Score card of CEED 2026 will be issued to all candidates who will appear in CEED 2926 exam. So, even if you have failed to qualify Part A, you can download the scorecard.

But note that in this case, scorecard will only include qualifying status and Part A marks. Part B marks, Total marks and merit ranks will only be issued to qualified candidates. Candidates who have been assigned a merit rank can participate in the counseling process conducted by participating institutes.

No, you cannot use your CEED 2025 scorecard to get admission to 2026 academic year. The scorecard is valid for one year from the date of issue.

The cut-off marks for CEED 2026 is 39.35 and 16.89.  Mean and standard deviation for Part-A (CEED 2026) are 39.35 and 16.89, respectively.

Rohit Ravindra Waghmare topped the CEED topper list 2025 with 82.38 marks out of 100. CEED 2023 exam was topped by Khyati Rathor,  who secured the AIR 1. She secured 68.85 marks in the exam, out of 100 marks. Simon George Cherian got the second position and scored 66.63 marks.

If there were any clashes of the interview dates with the college/ university exam, then candidates could inform the NID before February 23, 2026. Candidates needed to attach a copy of the timetable attested by the principal and a letter from the principal confirming that the examination dates clash with the interview.
