For 2025 admission, candidates can apply for admission and NID DAT. NID DAT was held in the month of January.

No, candidates who are looking for BDes course admission at NID Jorhat must sit and appear for DAT. Design Aptitude Test or DAT is that part of design exams that checks the creativity of the candidates. It is not easy to crack DAT section in a short period of time. One should have a good practice of drawing, sketching and on the spot design-solution to clear DAT.

Yes, candidates belonging to the SC, and other reserved categories will be considered for admission under both the respective and open categories.

Considering you belong to the SC category, this means you will be considered for open and SC admission lists. If you meet the cut-off in any of these lists, you will get admission.

But the institute you are being allocated will depend on the course you have selected (and their order of priority) at the time of choice-filling. Note that if you are not offered the first preferred seat, you are typically considered for upgradation in subsequent rounds.
