NID DAT is one of the toughest entrance exams in the land. Also, given the large number of applicants, it is highely competitive.

So, to have a chance of scoring a good score in the exam and be in the contetion for a seat in one of the top NIDs, one needs to ensure their preparation is full proof.

Now unless you solve sample papers, there is no way to evaluate your preparedness for the exam. For instance, you may have completed the textual books and are confident about your ability to solve a proble. But what will you do if on exam do you find out that theoritical knowledge can take you only so far.

However, if instead you solve enough sample papers you will get battle ready. 

BRDS has received a total of 1910 choices at NID since 2005. In 2023, 270 BRDS students are chosen to attend NID. There were 56 final selections for NID M.Design and 214 final selections for NID B.Design. BRDS is the source of all India Ranks 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, and 10 NID. 94 pupils rank among the top 100. BRDS is pleased to declare that, in comparison to all other coaching institutes in India, it has the largest student selection for NID, NIFT, IIT-UCEED, IIT-CEED, NATA, and CEPT this year. There is only one NID DAT entry exam held each year. DAT Mains and Prelims are the two sub-exams that make up the exam. Based on their DAT Prelim results, candidates are selected for the DAT Mains short list.

Yes, the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) in India offers a course related to interior design through its Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programme in Fashion & Lifestyle Accessory (FLA). This programme covers various aspects of design, including interior accessories and lifestyle products, giving students a foundation in interior design principles and practices. While it is not a dedicated interior design program, it includes relevant elements that can provide a strong background for a career in interior design. For a specialised interior design course, institutions like the National Institute of Design (NID) or other dedicated design schools might be more appropriate.

The specific dates for the NID DAT (National Institute of Design Aptitude Test) 2026 Studio Test for the B.Des programme have not been announced. NID DAT is typically conducted in two stages: the Prelims and the Mains (or Studio Test).

The Prelims exam usually takes place in January or February, followed by the Studio Test for shortlisted candidates. There will be several stages to the NIFT 2024 exam. For example, in order to be admitted to the B. Des programme, an applicant must first pass the written GAT and CAT tests. If they are selected for further consideration, they must then take a Situation Test. Candidates for M.Des who make the short list must attend a personal interview rather than the situation test. Be aware that each test component will be assigned a weight when preparing the NIFT 2024 final result. For the B. Des programme, the final score will be determined by allocating 50% of the weight to the CAT, 30% to the GAT, and 20% to the Situation Test. The CAT is worth 40% of the total weight for the M.Des programme, while the GAT and personal interview are worth 30% each.
