You can refer to Manorama yearbook for current affairs. Do some research over the internet about the famous design professionals and their career journey. Also, do read at least 2 newspapers daily and refer to design magazines for the information about the design industry.

NID is the oldest design institute in India, run by the Indian Government. The institute has a great campus with highly qualified and experienced faculty. The placement cell of the institute is very active and students have been placed with well-known design organisations in the country. You can get into pretty much any campus yet, Mumbai and Delhi are a little difficult to get in in your case. Do check the last merit ranks admitted in 2017 to get an idea.

First of all, I am glad to know that you are interested in pursuing the course of interior design. INIFD, Indore provides you courses such as B.Sc in interior design which is a degree course in the same as well as Advance Diploma Programs for 1, 2 as well as 3-years.
The fee structure for Two Year Advance Diploma Program is divided into
Annual Corporate Fee + Service Tax /GST as applicable : Rs. 21,000/-
Annual Centre Fee + Service Tax /GST as applicable: Rs. 61,000/-
