Although every institute has a different eligibility criteria, yet most institutes will allow a graduate from any stream to pursue the Masters degree/Diploma in design. You will have to appear for a general aptitude test as well as creative aptitude test. The creative aptitude test is more crucial as your artistic abilities will be exhibited and it will determine your admission at large. So you will need to practice your drawing and sketching skills very well. The fee structure of the course varies from institute to institute. For a degree course, it must be approximately 3 Lacs for the entire course. However, if you want to pursue a Diploma, it will cost you approximately 1 Lacs. The eligibility criteria for both degree and Diploma courses at UG level requires you to complete your 10+2 from a recognized board of education with minimum 45 % marks in any stream.

The entrance exam of MIT, i.e, Design Aptitude Test (DAT) will be held on April 1, 2018. You can submit the application form till 28th February.

The candidates must have passed higher secondary school certificate examination (10+2) with min 50% marks from a recognized board of education to apply for the entrance exam conducted by the institute (CET).
