Starting salary of an interior designer depends upon a number of factors. Some of the prominent factors are:

-Job location
On an average, starting salary could be anywhere between 40-80K INR per month. In case of a Government job, the salary will be as per the pay scale and grade. If you choose entrepreneurship over a regular job, profit generated will matter more than salary!

I think you should go for a post-graduation Diploma in textile design because you already studied Fashion Designing for three years, now you would not learn anything new in PG in fashion designing. Till now, you know about how to use textile in garments and how to design garments, but textile designing will now give you the opportunity to learn about how textile will be used in other industries and what are the other possibilities of a textile. Now, doing textile designing will add up to your skills and you also get to know about textiles more. It will also help you in getting better job offers. Also, textile designing studies are the best in India because we have a rich heritage culture in textile we are the largest producer in jute, and second, third the largest in silk and cotton. Please note my answer is not specific to any particular course. This is what I have experienced. If you are going to pursue higher studies just for the sake of getting a good package, then stop right there because it will never help unless you are good at your subject and if you are so good in your subject then you are already a master, you don't need a degree to prove it. It would be another case if you are changing your field like you are planning to do MBA and are not from commerce background. In that case, doing Masters can help you. Also, it is very much required to do a very clear research on the job where you want to land up in future. And this can be achieved if you have a handful of industry experience first. This gives a wide prospective of our future plans and can surely help in taking a right decision. It's really fine if you experience a different industry and want to land up in some other, the learning you get during your job is something beyond people's advice. AIFD does not specify any AIFD CAT 2018 syllabus. AIFD CAT exam pattern is such that candidates needto attempt objective-type questions of 100 marks. Questions in the design entrance exam will be based on subjects such as General Knowledge, Logical Reasoning, and English language. There are few sections where you really need focus on: Intelligence and Reasoning -This section AIMS at testing the logical reasoning aptitude of candidates. The questions are based on topics such as data interpretation, series, brainteasers, and patterns.
General Awareness-this section includes questions on general awareness about life, environment, country, AIFD CAT exam pattern is such that candidates needto attempt objective-type questions of 100 marks. Questions in the design entrance exam will be based on subjects such as General Knowledge, Logical Reasoning, and English language., etc.
