Hi Lavi,
You have to earn a Bachelors degree in fashion designing after your 12th. Since, it's a creative field, your career prospects will depend on your creative skills mostly. To study fashion designing after 12th, you must to clear entrance exams conducted by various institutes such as the NIFT entrance exam.

Hi Akanksha,
To be a fashion designer, there is no need of vast drawing. In entrance exam, drawing is not in the syllabus.

Yes, many colleges like NIFT, have an evening/weekend course. The diploma course, however, is a full time 2-year course. If you know what you want to do in he field you can join a certificate course.
A degree or Diploma holds more weightage than a certificate.Try speaking to a counsellor or call up fashion design colleges to select a course which suits your need. You can try other colleges like SNDT, Pearl, INIFD, BD Somani, etc.

Hi Seema,
The NIFT Criteria says, Candidates must not be more than 23 years of age as on October 1, 2017. However, candidates from Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribes category as well as Physically Handicapped Persons (PHP) can avail age relaxation of up to five years.
You can definitely try for other Private institutes because some of them don't have an age criteria. Do keep an eye on when are the admission forms coming out. They usually start around September.
Good luck!
