You need to crack IELTS or TOEFL exam. You must show interest in interior design and decorating. Students are also required to submit a portfolio showing their creative skills. Every country/ university has different requirements.

You can opt for professional courses in the field of design like interior design, graphic design or fashion design. All the three design courses have very bright career as you can work independently or in any professional setup.

Yes, you can do M.Des (Animation Film Design) from NID after completing B.Sc in animation. I have got few friends who followed the same path.

I come from the same combination of background, it's going to be fantastic. Industry prefers this combo of mechanical engineering + industrial design (especially when it's about making / manufacturing a tangible product). So, don't worry, just go ahead.

National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad is the best for doing MDes (Animation Film Design). It has been declared as the institute of national importance by Indian government. It's the first and oldest design dedicated institute of India.
