You should pursue Masters of design from DYPDC, Pune.

You should know the basics of drawing at least, rest the details are taught during the course only. IIT is one of the best institutes to do B.Des course because of its recognition.

3. UPES – Dehradun.

Defence Institute of Advanced Technology - Pune is engaged in imparting technical education in niche areas of defence-related technologies. In order to become weapon designer, you can do M.Tech guided missiles and air armaments after B.Tech in mechanical, aeronautical and electronics engineering.

To join a designing course, you have to complete your class 12th, then you will be eligible to pursue designing course. Different design colleges have their own entrance exams to get admission.
