Do a design course from a reputed Institute like NID Ahmedabad. And then, join companies to progress in design career. Other institution which offer the same degree is MIT PUNE.

If you have a flare for making a space clean and welcoming, all you would be needing some good projects to implement your skills.
Definitely, Interior is the design field where an expert is required to create a positive area for work or living.
Though, initially you would be required to work with established designer. Then, work parallel for yourself on small commercial projects and institutional projects to put a good name in industry.

There is no specific course for Home interior designing.You get the complete knowledge and understanding of interior part in B.Sc- Interior Design programme which offered by almost every university in India.

The course gives you an edge of understanding business, which is design driven.
It's just not about products in design world. It's the ability to judge product on its design basis, and you can actually predict what designs will cater the needs of the market and would give maximum return.
So someone with a degree in design from a business point of view it gives an edge choosing a right product and catering to the targeted consumers. E-Commerce platform is booming, a specialisation will be in demand.

Of course you can choose the other one. It's not about the college but about your life. Whichever college you choose, you can hit the same level that you deserve. Have you ever noticed that there are so few IIM graduates that own India's top businesses? Also remember that Design requires good mentoring.
Typically, go for a school which offers all the information including faculty on their website. Wish you the best for your career. Remember, your Career is a resultant of your knowledge combined with your passion and expression ability.
