Hello Justin,
Your choice of subjects in class 12th actually do not matter for getting admission for Diploma course in engineering. This is so, because these admissions are based on the marks which you have obtained in class 10th examination. Hence, do not worry and apply for admission based on your marks of class 10th. Hi,
RV College have intake for B.Tech through CET. So, for taking admission in that college, you have to clear the CET exam. It mostly conducted in month of May.

All State recognised Full time diplomas are considered equivalent to 12th. You can choose any core course like Mechanical, Civil etc. Or choose a specialisation like Textile, Polymer, Library etc. These all will be considered equivalent to 12th and in some cases you will also be eligible for lateral entry into graduation course.

JB, Graduate Marine Engineer (GME) eligibility criteria are as under.
1. Academic Qualification :Graduation in BE /B TECH (Mechanical Engineering), BE / B TECH (Mechanical & Automation Engineering), Naval Architecture with minimum marks of 55% aggregate in degree.
AND
Minimum 50% marks in English subject at 10th or 12th
or in Degree Exam conducted by a recognized board or
