Admission in the above course is through CAP counseling conducted by DTE, Maharashtra on the basis of marks obtained in Diploma/ B.Sc.

Yes, it offers lateral entry admissions to Diploma engineering students. But limited branches are there. Don't expect to get the same branch as you have in your Diploma engineering. Moreover, it also provides 4 year Evening B.Tech, a different program. Branches are Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, and Electronics only. I think you got your answer. It's nice to know that you are already thinking of continuing your education by seeking Admission under a lateral admission mode in COEP in information technology. It is good to know the cutoffs of previous years but if you ask me, they have only limited usefulness. This is because this changes from year to year in the same branch in the same college.
