In today's era, everyone can pursue Diploma courses in software development regardless of the background. If you already have some courses in mind, then go further for them. Otherwise, I am mentioning some courses for your consideration:
Diploma in Software Engineering.

According to me, it is the best institute for such courses like radio jockey, acting and other media related stuff. There will be surely good placements and good opportunities. You can check some reviews based on this institute. Many people consider it to be excellent.

The final list has been updated. I don't think there will be further admission now. Visit the below link:

And you can contact the college authorities if there is any chance.

Yes, there is a provision of lateral entry in which most students either Diploma students or other students from other colleges can join. It is a very normal process for taking admission in 2nd year.

AMIE doesn't offer B.Tech, first of all, and neither it is valid. It is not recognised by AICTE and is a complete waste. BCA from SMU is also a waste as SMU is not a very good distance course provider. I would suggest taking lateral entry into regular BCA or B.Tech. Instead of pursuing a distance course as they will not be able to get you a job. I am saying this because I have done courses from both SMU and AMIE (which I dropped) and they are not at all helpful.

I believe abroad visit is mainly for practical or field exposure or most likely an internship. Nevertheless, it is a great opportunity in itself. Consult the college about it for precise details and also check the fee and expenses.
