Diploma will be only provided to you if you have completed your class 10th. If you have done it then you can get admission for part-time/full-time Diploma course wherever you want. If you want to know colleges providing Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, visit:

Yes, of course, you can get lateral entry, 90% of the colleges provided lateral entry. If you are eligible, you will get admission in B.Tech for sure. If you want to check colleges that provides lateral entry in your location, visit:

Not any graduation course. But you can take admission in related graduation course in 2nd year directly in most of the Institute.

Usually, it is of 3 years after which you can get direct entry in the 2nd year of a graduation course. If you want to go for architecture, B.Arch is for you. You can pass your +2 and then through JEE Mains, you can get a seat in IITs or NITs for B.Arch.

Direct entry scheme is not applicable for IITs and NITs.

Yes, you can appear for IIT-JEE examination after the completion Diploma of engineering or in the last year of Diploma. Through this examination you will be able to take admission in IIT in first year of engineering like a 12th pass students. You can choose any branch of engineering irrespective of your branch of engineering in Diploma. But it will be better for you if you choose the branch in IIT related to your branch in Diploma. There is no lateral entry seats in IIT. So, you can not take admission in IIT directly in the second year of engineering in any way.
