Knowing about your background that you have mentioned, heavy studies us perhaps not your cup of tea. I feel it's better if you join ETO course.

Diploma holders are eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced) therefore they can apply to appear in JEE Main but rank and score of such students for JEE (Main) is not declared as diploma holders cannot apply for admission in NITs and CFTIs through JEE (Main) channel. You are eligible to seek admission in B.Arch at IITs on completion of Diploma in Engineering.

If you have done 12th from a recognised board then you can do B.Com after Diploma.

Normally technical education department of each state puts out a matrix as to diploma holders eligibility to a branch for degree. Perhaps you will have to see webpage of your state's Dept to know legal status.

Diploma courses are generally considered courses which can be done after 12th however, PG diploma can only be after completing graduation.
