Yes, facility of lateral entry in 2nd year of engineering is given to diploma holders but please have a look at the matrix telling to which branch you can apply based on your branch in diploma.

The diploma that you have obtained is considered equivalent to 12th by many institutions. Hence, you simply have to apply for and appear for their CET, get good marks and join engineering.

Hi Tejas,
It is completely your decision what you want to study. Check colleges like Humber, Lambton, Fanshawe etc and browse through the programs. The program you want to study must be relevant to your education background and so you cannot just pick a random course. Check this for options:

You have very good marks in diploma. Yes, you can pursue Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering. With these marks, I am sure you will do well in graduation also.

Hi Chansi,
You can certainly pursue a course in journalism along with B.Com. The only advice I would want to reach upto you is that Journalism is more of a field of practical learning, on field experiences and Live set ups. Pursuing a course through correspondence [Assuming that you're pursuing B.Com (regular)] will help you fetch a good degree but not a creative job because it would require practical experience into role play as far as journalism course is concerned.
Diploma in Journalism have wide career prospects. The subjects that are taught in journalism are:
