M.A. in Functional English is not offered from the Directorate of Distance Education, Annamalai University. Their distance education programs as of March 28, 2025, include the following M.A. options: English, Tamil, History, and Sociology.
They provision M.A. Functional in their official offering, because it is a specialised course that concentrates on the practical aspects of language. There is a standard M.A. English course, which would be only open to holders of bachelor's degrees. The fees are quite affordable, about INR 7,000-10,000 per year, and admission just needs an online application with requisite documents.
