University of Calicut has a distance learning program, from which students without the proper means can attain valuable education. The institute has a School of Distance Education, which was formerly known as Institute of Correspondence Courses and Continuing Education. Calicut University SDE offers 25 courses to students,  out of which13 are UG and 12 are PG programs.

  • NMIMS Global – MBA (Operations Management) – AICTE approved
  • IGNOU – PG Diploma in Operations Management
  • Amity Online, Sikkim Manipal, Symbiosis Center for Distance Learning (SCDL)

Many courses are available in correspondence (distance mode), especially:

1- B.A., B.Com., B.Sc. (General)

2- M.A., M.Com., M.Sc.

3- B.Ed., D.El.Ed. (for teachers)

4- Diploma/Certificate Courses

Some nursing and paramedical Diploma courses (in theory subjects only, not clinicals)

However - Some courses are not offered via correspondence, especially those with heavy lab or clinical work:B.Sc. Nursing
