As per the course list available on IGNOU website, the M.Sc physics distance course is not available here.

The IGNOU has been granted the authority to confer degrees by Clause 5 (1) (iii) of the IGNOU Act 1985. IGNOU is also recognised as a Central University by the University Grants Commission of India (UGC). The Degree offered after completion of Distance Education is Approved by AICTE & recognised by UGC. The IGNOU offered courses has the latest syllabus in line with the demands. Distance PG is not much appreciated in the industry and is just held as a degree with no extra values. So I would suggest you to go for a regular degree and if you want a government job go for regular.

When you pursue a distance PG course, the value and importance of the course is perceived as a regular PG course by the employer simply by convention. The regular PG course shows more devotion and passion.

Yes. IGNOU does provide distance education facility for Masters in physics courses. While applying, you will be given the option to fill up the necessary details and there you can mention the same.
