Technically you can pursue a Ph.D programme with a valid distance mode MBA degree. I will suggest that you give UGC NET (also known as CBSE NET) exam as most of the universities has this as eligibility criteria. Although, MBAs will vehemently dismiss the need for PHDs in a teaching Job, most professors in top Business Schools have a Ph.D. So, if your goal is to be part of a prestigious institute like Harvard, Wharton or any other Ivey league schools, doing a Ph.D after Executive or Full-time MBA would be a good move. You can pursue "Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Statistics" - One Year Duration Post Graduate programme Offered by Distance Learning Mode by IGNOU. You can take up the exam in Maharashtra.

I don't think that B.Sc in Geology is available under distance education mode. The course is more practical in nature, and thus I would say you to opt for one regular. Regards.

There are plenty of institutions offering different PG Diploma in nursing. However a word of caution. UGC had recently reiterated to all the universities that no professional course should be offered in distance education mode. Hence even if you decide to go ahead, please ask the concerned university's administration Department for permission granted by UGC for such course. Best wishes to you.

MBA stands for Master of business administration and PGDM stands for Post-graduation Diploma in management. MBA duration is 2 years and PGDM duration is 1 year. After an MBA, you can go for higher studies like Ph.D and doctorate courses, but PGDM you can't apply for Ph.D. or doctorate courses that's the main difference.
