Distance learning course isn't enough to practice law in India. As per the Bar Council of Indias guidelines, one need to have a law degree to practice law in India. One of the prerequisite to practice in any state is to have a regular course law degree. Law course pursued through a distance learning

Yes, you can study journalism after completing B.Com course. Any stream candidate are eligible to apply for journalism course. You may apply for M.A. It stands master of Science in journalism. Admission for this master course based on entrance and you need to have good grip over the English language
