There are many courses available. Always remember, you should pursue a stream/course based on two things :
-your career goal
-the type of job you want to do
In regards to your question, whether there is any difference in Correspondence and Regular course, i would say it varies from one subject to the other also from one degree to the other. However in general a course through distance learning does not have as much value as the regular one so if you can do a regular course, it would hold a lot of importance and thus be a much better option. You can look for courses recognized by UGC-DEC such as IGNOU, KSOU etc. A PG Diploma in Computer Application or any other related field will do. You may also opt for PG Diploma in Management. The MIS degree with a Management background will be helpful in future. Hope this helps.

Journalism is not about theory but practical. Mass Media course is useful only when done through regular mode. So try to get admission into a regular college.

It completely depends on the university to which you are applying as they have following criteria.
1. IMT Ghaziabad allows you direct admission if you hv 3 years work experience.
2. Most of the reputed ones do conduct entrance exam.
