DoMS IIT Madras - Department of Management Studies

DoMS IIT Madras calls the selected candidates for PhD interview round. The first phase of interview is technical where the candidate is tested on the domain knowledge. The evaluation is done by the panel of faculty members in the area of specialisations selected by the candidates. The member evaluates the understanding of the aspirants in the domain.

Candidates are offered admission in PhD course of DoMS IIT Madras based on academic performance, merit in the last qualifying exam, statement of purpose and research proposal. Selected aspirants are further called for interview session at the department. On the day of the interview, candidates may need to take the Research Aptitude Test. 

DoMS IIT Madras applications open for MBA after the announcement of CAT result. The registrations usually open in December and continues till last week of January. Aspirants who meet the eligibility criteria can apply online for the preferred course. The selection process for DoMS IIT Madras starts in March.

DoMS IIT Madras provides fellowship to research students. The PhD stipend for first two years is INR 37,000 per month. The stipend is INR 42,000 per month for next three-years. The students also receives financial assistance for attending national and international conferences.

It is the applicants responsibility to ensure that the application and the fee is submitted by the deadline. Only those applications that are completed and for which the application fee has been received would be considered for the selection process. Aspirants need to pay an application fee of INR 1,600 (INR 800 for SC/ ST/ PwD) for MBA programme.
