The DTU LEET admit card can be downloaded from the official website of the university by entering the registration number. Some of the requested information includes; their application form number, date of birth and password. A candidate needs to make sure that he/she inputs the correct detail for purpose of accessing the admit card. In most cases, DTU LEET counselling is said to comprise several counselling rounds; however, it is not clearly specified how many. Nonetheless, considering the past years there are generally 3-4 rounds of counselling apart from a spot round if there are many seats available. The entrance exam evaluates applicants' technical expertise in their chosen engineering fields to make sure they fulfil the requirements set forth by the university for B.Tech programs.

Candidates who have finished a three-year engineering diploma or its equivalent from an accredited school with at least 60% of the possible points (or an equivalent CGPA) are eligible to apply for the Delhi Technological University Lateral Entry Entrance Test, or LEET. Students looking to enter DTU's B.Tech programs a second time through lateral entry are the only ones eligible for this program. Candidates must also meet the age restrictions and other conditions set forth by the institution in the official DTU LEET booklet, including residency requirements.
