There are two main intakes at Dublin City University, which are in September and January which are offered during a year. Although the September intake is the popular one with most of the courses opening for admission in this intake itself. 

The DCU January intake which starts in the month of January, is smaller. The admission deadlines for this intake is in December each year

As per the official schedule for Dublin City University admissions, for the MSc in Data Analytics the students can apply in the September intake of the year. The admission deadlines for the same are generally in Jun or July during the same year

For this program, there is no other of intake at DCU. International students can apply via the official portal of this university.

As per an unofficial source, the Dublin City University acceptance rate is 49%. This makes DCU a little competitive to get into. International students are required to meet all the admission requirements. Some of those are given below - 

  • A UG degree or a high school diploma 
  • English language proficiency with test like IELTS, TOEFL or PTE
  • Correct Documents like transcripts, letters of recommendation, personal statement etc.

Dublin City University in Ireland is generally considered a top notch university and it is also highly ranked. Given below are the ranks for the same - 

  • DCU is generally ranked among the top 400 to 500 unis in the world
  • The top 4 to 5 in Ireland

However, this university does not have the Russell Group and the Ivy League status.

Indian students are required to apply directly to DCU on dcu.ie/global, DCU's official admission portal. The tentative deadline for the same is Jul, 2027.

Yes DCU acceptance rate stands around 50% meaning out of every 100 candidates who apply for its admission process upto 50 will  be accepted. This makes it moderately hard to get into the university as only one tenth of the applicants will be offered admission

Yes absolutely because DCU was ranked top 350 in the World Rankings 2026 by THE while it was ranked no. 1 in Ireland in Research Quality. It was also ranked 410th in the World for 2026 by QS while 19 of DCU's subjects ranked in QS Subject Rankings 2025. It also stood no. 1 in Ireland for Environmental Sustainability

All students hailing from a non English speaking country must submit proof of English proficiency including PG and foundation programme students. Although the DCU requirements for master's are programme and school specific, the majority schools have the following minimum scores:
