The reason for the low acceptance rate is the fact that not everyone can access the institute's world class facilities and academic services and are only reserved for the very best and the brightest of minds.
Prospective students must maintain high academic scores during their school and college level education, provide proof of English proficiency and also demonstrate non-academic abilities that can be useful in their career in the future.

As per data curated from an unofficial source, the Duke University acceptance rate stands at around 6.3%, making it one of the more selective institutions in the United States.
Going by the above percentage, the institute is only known to accept 6 applications for every 100 it recieves. Thus, interested applicants must perform really well as part of school/college level academics, & satisfy the Duke entrance exam requirements, along with the demonstration of some other non-academic abilities, to have a chance of securing a seat at the instiute.
