Hello Ajith, Once you get admission in lateral mode directly into second year of engineering of 4 years degree course, the syllabus, classes everything is same. In fact you join the students in second year who have already finished their first year in the college in the same course. Hence syllabus is exactly same as that for normal B.Tech. -VLSI (Very Large Scale Integration). -Embedded Systems. -PLC. -Networking. -Circuit Designing. -Fibre optic technology. You must try to do these courses from good Training institutes such as CDAC, NIIT, APTECH, etc. It will be very advantageous for you regarding job placements.

Diploma in electronics is a government approved course, provided from which college you are pursuing the same. You can definitely apply for promotion if there is vacancy and you can also get more job opportunities. Diploma is provided in both regular and open mode, it entirely depends on you that which course you want to pursue.
