Techno India has good placements but they really take students in their main campus without any donation so you can look for better colleges like Adamas University or JIS University if you want to take admission in West Bengal.

Yes, you can surely get the lateral entry to the second year of B.Tech if you have diploma in electronics engineering. There are various colleges which provide lateral entry to the diploma students.
