Let me tell you about 2017 ECE batch:
The packages offered to 2017 batch was good.
The avg. package was around 6 LPA.
In all core electronic companies, only ECE people got placed. More than 90% batch got placed out of those who wanted placement.

CSE/IT: Students of CSE from MNIT are placed in software giants like Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe and many more. Placements of CSE department is beyond ones imagination. Average package was more than 7 LPA and Amazon offered maximum package of INR 25 LPA.
ECE/EE: There are some extremely good core companies (like TI), which come to recruit ECE/EE. Most of the automobile companies also recruit lots of students from ECE/EE.
