The syllabus of the WBJEE entrance exam is very similar to the Class 12 board exam syllabus for the PCM stream. The WBJEE entrance exam is mostly comprised of the 3 main subjects which are Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics. Hence, candidates are advised to prepare the aforementioned subjects with all the topics that are covered in the Class 12 PCM syllabus for these subjects.

After JEE Main session 2 results are announced candidates must first consider their preferred course/institution and their score/performance in the exam.

For candidates who have performed well in JEE Main session 2 securing above 98th Percentile score - should prepare for the JEE Advanced entrance exam.

Candidates who have scored below 98th percentile may choose to appear for JEE Main during the next academic session.

The last round of IIT Delhi CSE cutoff ranged between 116 and 126 over three years for the students belonging to the General AI quota. You can prepare for all entrance tests at same time. It is a tough task but not impossible. For this a proper strategy is required. Here are some important tips.

  • Compare the syllabus: All engineering entrance exams have almost the same syllabus. There might be some additional topics in some exams. The aspirant must study the syllabus for all exams and find out the topics that are extra, and prepare those separately. Almost 90% of the topics will be common for all entrance exams, and hence, syllabus completion for one exam will lead to completion of the syllabus for all the exams.

In NEET entrance test, the weightage of Class 11 Physics Chapter 11 Thermodynamics is around 7%. Students should thoroughly understand the thermodynamic laws and internal energy. The medical entrance test includes theory and numerically-based questions. For JEE Main, the chapter has more significance, and it has nearly 15% weightage of the total Physics syllabus.

The cutoff changes depending on rounds, specialisations, and categories. If you qualify under the General AI quota, the maximum required JEE Main cutoff rank for B.Tech admission was 60255 in 2025.Those who have a lower cutoff than the one specified can get a seat in NIT Warangal BTech. For CSE, ECE, etc., the cutoff ranks tend to be lower showing high competition for admission in the engineering aspirants.
