Yes, any candidate who meets the GATE 2026 eligibility will be able to appear for the exam. The criteria include the following -

• Any undergraduate student in 3rd year or higher years of any government approved programme in any of the following disciplines, such as engineering/technology/architecture/science/commerce/arts/humanities are eligible for the GATE. 
• Apart from that, the candidate must hold Indian citizenship.
• There is no age-limit or pass percentage to appear for the examination.
• Candidates from Nepal, Bangladesh, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Ethiopia, and the United Arab Emirates can apply for GATE 2026.

The GATE 2026 registration link will remain active for a specific period of time. Therefore, aspirants are advised to fill out their application form as soon as possible. 

Candidates can select their GATE exam centres at the time of filling out the GATE 2026 application form. The GATE application form 2026 is now available. Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria must go through the eligibility conditions and apply before the due date. Candidates can select upto three cities (from the same zone) from the list provided by the authorities. With a JEE Main CRL of 55567, your daughter has a good chance of getting into several NITs and IIITs for Computer Science. Consider participating in JoSAA and CSAB counseling rounds, exploring specializations like Data Science or IT, and checking for home state quota benefits. Some potential options include NITs like NIT Jalandhar, NIT Raipur, NIT Durgapur, and NIT Goa, and possibly some IIITs, depending on the specific branch and seat availability.
