For getting into any prestigious institutions, you should be highly dedicated and hardworking. A little bit of luck is also needed to some extent. Though it is not mandatory, atleast two years of dedicated study is needed to get a good rank in the JEE main (needed for admission into NITs). This is because the number of students appearing for the exams is increasing every year and so does the competition. It is not enough to be just good but you need to be the very best.

You might get Haldia. IEM's closing rank for all the streams is generally much higher. I am not sure about Heritage. Put your preferences accordingly and hope for the best.

Generally, the cutoff for all departments is about 100 in MHT-CET and 75 for JEE-Mains while cutoffs for computer engineering are relatively high.

No, you can't solve physics of NEET without knowing these topics though you don't need to understand them completely breif knowledge will do. Question standard for both the exams are almost the same whereas in JEE application part of concepts are focused and in NEET concept and formulae are focused.
