You will get CSE/IT branch in category 6th and civil branch in category 1 in Vellore. Let me explain you the admission system here. Rank in VIT to get admission should be 90,000, so you can get admission in VIT from the 6th category as well. There are various categories as well. With each category admission, fees go high. First category closed till 15,000 rank, and you can get CSE till 9000 rank and IT till 11000 rank, but there are 2nd category as well, if you want CSE, but you have to pay more for that. There are around 15000 seats in NITs in India. Considering the past years' data, you need to get at least 130 marks to get into one of them (It's not necessary by the way, but desirable!). Good Luck!

You will only eligible to take the admission in VIT university if you give VITEEE exam otherwise it is not possible.

Eligibility criterion for taking admission in Amity University is:
The candidate must have passed in the final examination of 10+2 or its equivalent, referred to as the qualifying examination with 60% marks (PCM &English) for general category.
For all Amity Campuses JEE Mains: Students securing a score of 30 and above in JEE Mains plus 60% in E-PCM (English+ Physics+ Maths+ Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science/Biotechnology) will also be considered for direct admission process i.e., exempt from entrance test and interview, for B.Tech programmes only.
