Hi,
There is no separate entrance exam for TNEA. TNEA stands for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions. It is a single window counselling in which you could get a college based on your aggregate marks in PCM (out of 200) of your 12th board exam.
You will be called based on your rank which would be given based on your counterparts.

Hi,
The applications for TNEA were available for the other state students till July 12 in the website www.annauniv.edu.
There are many colleges under TNEA in the whole of Tamil Nadu but there is only a single window counselling for admission. The TNEA counselling is already in process and the applications have been closed.
So, it is impossible to apply now. You may contact the admin for more details which is available in the above website.

Theoritically it is feasible to change college in second year but practically it is extremely difficult and full of challenges. For change to take place, both new college must be ready to give you admission and old college be ready to release you. Sometime old college may ask you to deposit left over three years fee to release you as their seat may go vacant. Also new college may charge first year fee again. But it is worth trying option. All the best!

Hi,
Yes, you are eligible. You need to apply separately through a link which will be posted after the applications for Tamil Nadu and TN native students.
It was available from July 1 - July 12 at www.annauniv.edu
Your aggregate in PCM out of 200 determines your admission.
The applications have been closed and the TNEA counselling processes have started already.

You should start preparing from the 2nd year, keep note of basic concepts. Keep revising the concepts and applications of the same. Mostly you will get application based problems. You can join a coaching in 3rd year to get some study material and revising your concepts.

Why are you so confused right now ?
Just chill and make yourself eligible for the best you can achieve.
Study hard and don't think of branch preferences right now as you are in class 12th. The right time will come to think of it.
Good luck!

Dear Aashish,
You are planning to drop a year for JEE it means that you are dreaming for IITs or NITs. In that case, I just want to share 2 of my views with you.
1) Since you don't have 75% in your 12th, you must give your exam again. Dear IIT will shortlist on the basis of your PCM marks and your aggregate marks too. Means you have to score 75%+ in PCM and overall too. Now, go to your result and check weather you have to give only 1 exam or all.
2) If you are dropping your precious one year for JEE then you have to make extremely sure yourself that yes you can clear the cut-off for your desired branch in desired campus because even afte

Hello Rittik,
Good to see you again!
Why student wants a specified book in which the title is written on the front of the book that is CRACK WBJEE or CRACK COMEDK. No, my friend, these things are not a big issue just focus on NCERT books honestly. Why do you want to waste money on other books? Yes, one thing I would recommend is that you should use MCQ books by MTG or TMH which are good for practice after completing the topics from NCERT book.
For further queries, please revert.
All the best!
