JEE Mains and board exam preparations can be done simultaneously. Get your basic concepts right. Follow NCERT textbooks and revise regularly. After class 12th, it shouldn't be too hard. The questions in JEE Mains is purely based on NCERT. You may enrol into a coaching centre to learn shortcuts and time-saving tricks which are generally not mentioned in the books.

The exact date is still not declared, but it will be in the beginning or mid-April.

With each passing year, performance of students is becoming better. In addition, last year's data is of no use since for ranking marks of class 12th are not going to be considered. IIIT's are current favorites amongst students. Hence, you need to score better to get admission in your desired college. I would say that you need to score more than 250 to get a chance.

Both of the procedure, which you mentioned are equally tough and challenging and it depends on your knowledge and skill set. It depends on an individual to decide whether to pursue admission through the regular way (JEE Mains) or through lateral entry (LEET).

Yes, you can do it from the very first day of your engineering. First of all, take out the latest syllabus of GATE according to your branch and then find out which subject came in which semester. Then, focus on these subjects in every semester and always read standard books on these subjects.

It's no great shakes. The requirement is diligence and discipline. Please make sure that you study all the subjects every day. Also, take out time for exercise. The following is the eligibility criteria for BOE exam:-
Age: above 23 years
A Degree or Diploma in mechanical, electrical, chemical, power plant, production, instrumentation engineering is required.
Work experience: 3 years for a Degree course and 5 years for a Diploma.
