Yes, it is compulsory to qualify JEE Advanced exam in order to pursue B.Tech from IIT. If you fail to qualify JEE Advanced exam then you cannot get admission in IIT for B.Tech.

Around 220-270 marks in JEE Mains are considered good to get admission in NITs. To get admission in IITs, you need to secure a good rank in JEE Advanced.

No, from this year, your board marks won't have any weightage. Although, to appear for JEE Mains exam, you need to score above 75 percent marks in HSC.
