SAT is accepted by BITS pilani and may be in future few more private universities will start with it. If you are keen to join USA for further studies, you may take SAT in grade 11 beginning as it will be the best time to start process of applying abroad.

I don't know about the private colleges. But I think you have a chance of getting a NIT. Just wait for the AIR to get declared.

If you belong to SC-ST, then you'll surely get a NIT. If you belong to OBC, then also you have a good chance of getting into a NIT. But if you're a General, you wont get. And no one gets into IIT just by giving JEE Mains. To get into a IIT, you have to score well in JEE Advance.

Hey Vinay,
You are having good marks in your boards but below average marks in JEE Mains, you may not get any NIT or any best government college but based on your category you may get benefited. You should wait for the counseling and also do apply for some best private institutes also so that it helps you at a later stage. You may also get some best scholarships based on your marks in 12.

You should try NITs, if you are in under reserved category than also apply for IITs. You are a bright student so choose you career wisely. Don't compromise with college.

You have scored great in 12th board and u r asking Bsc or B.Tech. If u get best B.Tech college then u must take admission otherwise Bsc is nice Option
