Jee Main marks doesn't really matter in iit admission but you still have to clear cutoff in order to sit in jee advanced which was around 80 marks out of 360 in 2014. As far as Advanced marks are compared the closing rank was around 850(OBC) category which means 170 marks out of 360 around 47% .But all these stats are from 2014 IIT JEE exam and changes every year.

All india rank is considered in out state college seat allocation and state level rank is considered in home state college seat allocation. Dear We have enlisted a few of the factors which will be considered for generation of the cutoff scores for various courses:
How many candidates actually took the exam?
What were the HIGHEST and LOWEST exam Score?
What is the annual intake of the exam?
How many candidates are to be called for seat allotments?
What were the Previous Year Trends in the VITEEE Cutoff?
Thus, the VITEEE 2016 Cutoff will be arrived at after a lot of speculation from the exam bodies. The cutoff scores are NOT subject to revision or any objections from the exam takers side.
VITEEE 2016 Expected Cutoff
Marks obtained in VITEEE 2016 Expected rank range
118 + 250-1
