Multiple Entrance Paths to Undergraduate B.Tech Programs At Shiv Nadar University (SNU) Chennai, the under-graduate, B.Tech programs are sought through various gateways. SNU makes direct admission without the need of appearing for an entrance test; this is guaranteed to candidates, who obtain above the minimum 90 percentile qualification in JEE Main.

However, the number of seats through the JEE Main route is limited. Hence, even if you qualify based on the JEE Main percentile, the university may still insist that you appear for the SNUCEE so that they have a holistic evaluation of all the applicants.

The ranking in JEE Main with 12,000 may be out of competition with top colleges in IIT and NIT in CSE department, which happens when the ranking in the entrance test goes highly competitive for seats in that stream. Generally, for most of the IITs, CSE seats can be acquired from closing rank with 2,000-4,000 ranks for general candidates. At new NIT or other government college levels, getting CSE seats will also be achievable in the same range of rank like 12,000.

Official cut-offs of the specific institutions and branches you're interested in must be checked.

Hey here,

For getting admission in IIIT-Delhi, one will typically require a JEE Main percentile more than 98.5 for general category students, which is equivalent to a score of 220+. Non-Delhi candidates have more cut-offs since there are only seats open to 50% of the intake available.

Cut-offs may vary year-wise based on candidature and the number of seats open. So target a rank between 4,000-5,000 to maximize chances.

Prepare for well for math, aptitude, and problem-solving sections so as to score well. Follow the official admission notices of IIIT-Delhi for further details.

For general category candidates outside Delhi, the admission to the CSE programme at IIIT-Delhi requires a JEE Main percentile above 98.5. This means a score of 220+, depending on the competition in a particular year.

IIIT-Delhi has 50% of its seats reserved for Delhi candidates. So, the competition is more challenging for students from outside Delhi. A higher score will make a huge difference.

Focus more on the math and logical reasoning parts of JEE Main to have greater rank. Keep looking at the official website for cut-offs and guidelines from IIIT-Delhi.

To get admission in IIIT-Delhi, securing a good JEE Main percentile is very important. For General Category students, popular branches such as CSE require a percentile of 98 and others like ECE or CSAM may require 95-97 percentile. That means the corresponding JEE Main score would be 200-220+ depending upon competition and year, while for lesser competitive programs a slightly lower score would do.

Bonus marks by IIIT-Delhi for certain achievements. Get updated on the official admission guidelines and aim for a higher score for good prospects.

The cut-off for general category candidates varies with programs and year at IIIT Delhi. Cut-offs for CSE are very high, typically above 98 percentile, whereas it is between 95-97 percentile for some of the other streams such as ECE.

Therefore, ensure admission by fetching a JEE Main score that is well above 200-220. Higher the scores better will be your prospects for the desired streams.

Bonus marks also go into computation by IIIT-Delhi on achievements in specific domains. Check for updates in the admission guidelines each year for explicit details.
