Hi Vivek,
80% and above is recommended. The higher the grades the better. Some universities even require 90% and higher. You must also note that you cannot apply after 12th. Universities in Germany requires 13 years education. You can enrol into a bachelor degree program and complete the first year with very good grades and apply. Or you clear your IIT JEE Advanced. In Germany, every university is autonomous. This means that every university / study program has its own set of criteria for admitting students. Some universities may ask for TOEFL, IELTS, GRE or GMAT scores.
The fees is around 1000-1200 Euro per year.

Hi Prakram,
I am assuming you are asking about bachelor degree program. If I am not wrong then you cannot apply after class 12th. They require 13 years education. Below is the eligibility:
1. Complete first year of a Bachelor programme from a recognized university in India in the relevant subject field or
2. Clear IIT JEE
or
3. Clear the qualification assessment examination in Germany, called Feststellungsprfung.

Hello Jayadeep Muppavarapu,
You need to get above 80% to get admission in a good university. A score of 6.5 in IELTS or TOEFL is also accepted.

If you go by latest ranking, TUB, RWTH and then Esslingen is the preference order. If you are looking for some specific specialization, this blog might help you.

Undergraduate education is almost free in Germany. Semester fee is typically charged which may be between 150 and 500 euros per semester. Cost of living depends on you.

To maximize your chances of getting admission in MS in German Universities, you must have excellent academic record. You must aim to be in one of the first 10% students in your batch. You need to have an excellent rapport with the international known faculty so that you can get two excellent reference checks. Join your engineering college's automobile society and participate in various events to showcase your interest in the field. Publish articles in the automobile field. Develop expertise in one of the subfields of automobile engineering.
