The NIRF 2024 rankings are out. In the Engineering category, IIT Jammu has secured the #62 spot. Its ranking has improved from last year. In 2023, the institute was ranked #67 in the Engineering category.

B.E. / B.Tech

Candidate must have passed Hr. Sec. Part-II (12th/10+2) or an equivalent examination from a recognised statutory Board/University with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics as compulsory subjects having 45% marks for Open Merit Category candidates, including the Children of Defence Personnel, Para-Military Forces, Police Personnel of UT of J&K/Ladakh and candidates possessing outstanding proficiency in Sports and 40% marks for SC/ST/PSP/IB and other Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (RBA/ALC/OSC).
Candidate must have Domicile certificate of UT of Jammu & Kashmir or ST certificate issued by competent Authority of UT of Ladakh.
Candidates appearing/ appeared in 10+2 (12th Class) annual examination 2022 can also apply.

For IIT Jammu cutoff 2023 was 16786 for General category candidates in All India quota for B.Tech. in Civil Engineering in IIT Jammu - Indian Institute of Technology. For female candidates in general category under All India quota, 23299 was the closing rank. B.Tech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.

IIT Jammu admissions 2024 are based on JEE Main 2024 ranks followed by JEE Advanced ranks and further followed by JoSAA Counselling. Candidates seeking admission to the BTech must appear for JEE Main and JEE Advanced in order to be eligible for further admission process.

IIT Jammu 2023, cut off was 16433 for General category candidates in All India quota for B.Tech in Chemical Engineering in IIT Jammu - Indian Institute of Technology. For female candidates in general category under All India quota, 22180 was the closing rank. BTech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.

According to the Joint Seat Allocation Authority Round 5 Cutoff for the IIT, Jammu, the opening and closing ranks for BTech in Materials Engineering is
The opening rank is 4097, and the closing rank is 4097 for the EWS General Category (Gender-female)
Therefore, you may have chances in round 6, but in round 5, you missed the cutoff by a few ranks.
