As per my knowledge all IITS, NITS, GFTIS are the top government funded technology institute for BTech course and admission in such colleges in done on the basis of your rank in the JEE Mains exam. If you qualify JEE Mains then you eligible to apply for NIT, GFTI but if you qualify JEE Mains as well as JEE advanced then you are eligible to take admission in the IITS . Moreover there are several others government funded institute state wise. In different states different admission criteria is there but always the priority is given to home state students first then the rest of candidates.

TNEA gives admission on the basis class 12th PCM marks. While VIT University, Vellore conducts VITEEE every year which is a national level engineering entrance examination to admit it's students. VIT University doesn't accept marks of any other entrance test.

VIT does not accept TNEA.

Yes, You can get admission in BTech through OJEE after class 12th provided you have satisfied the eligibility conditions.

If you have at least 45% in your 10+2 (for reserved candidate 40%) and you have the Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and any one subject from subjects from Chemistry / Biology / Biotechnology / Technical Vocational Subject / Electronics / Computer Science / Information Technology / Geology / Statistics in their class 12, then you are eligible for OJEE for the admission of Engineering and Architecture courses.
