Absolutely satisfied.
Placements: 80% of students got placed in our course. The highest package is 25 LPA. The lowest package is around 5-7 LPA. The average package is around 10-15 LPA Top requirement companies are ISRO and DRDO. 50% of students got internships from our course. Roles are aerodynamics analyst, research scientist, and systems engineer in our course.
Infrastructure: Facilities like Wi-Fi, labs (aerodynamics wind tunnels, propulsion testing labs, CAD/CAM labs (software like Ansys, Catia, SolidWorks). We have smart classrooms with projectors, audio systems, and digital boards. There are seminar halls for guest lectures and workshops. The library facilities are there. The hostel has a gym and single/double/triple occupancy rooms with basic furniture like beds, desks, and cupboards. Common areas with TVs, indoor games, and Wi-Fi but reliable/slow during peak hours]. Medical facilities are also available here.
Faculty: Most professors hold PhDs from reputed institutions like IIT and Defense College and have research expertise in domains like propulsion, aerodynamics, and materials. Guest faculty from ISRO and industry experts occasionally conduct workshops. 100% is our pass percentage.
Other: B.Tech in aerospace engineering in the 2022-2026 batch. Periyar Maniammai Institute of Science and Technology has a batch size of 30 students. I chose this course because of my interest in aviation, space exploration, and cutting-edge technology (drones and rockets).

Good facilities and support, but more practical exposure is needed.
Placements: The placement statistics show that with faculty assistance, the placement rate is around 80%, while with college assistance, it is approximately 50%. Placement success depends on the qualifications and efforts of the students. The highest package offered is 15 LPA, the lowest is 4 LPA, and the average package stands at 7.8 LPA. The aerospace department is evolving, and placements are significantly influenced by student efforts. Faculty guidance is essential for securing good opportunities. The top roles offered include Teach Publications, Drone Technology, and Design & Modelling. The college actively supports entrepreneurship and startup initiatives and guides higher studies.
Infrastructure: The department has well-equipped labs with newly imported equipment that enhances student learning. Classrooms with Wi-Fi and the library provide a wide range of aerospace resources. The canteen offers good food, while the mess is decent but lacks variety. Medical facilities and sports amenities are also available to students.
Faculty: Faculty members are knowledgeable, supportive, and always available to assist students. The curriculum aligns with the GATE syllabus, ensuring its relevance, but it lacks dedicated design thinking classes. However, monthly seminars help bridge this gap. Semester exams are moderately challenging, with a high pass percentage.
Other: I choose this course for its innovation and future scope in aviation and space. The best aspects are the evolving labs, faculty support, and a relevant curriculum. More practical exposure and specialized courses would enhance the program. While the campus offers teaching events and extracurricular activities, one cannot expect frequent fests or celebrations. Connectivity is decent, and scholarships are available for eligible students.

Good academics and placements, but poor hostel facilities and cultural events need improvement.
Placements: The college offers decent placement opportunities, with approximately 80% of students securing jobs with the help of faculty and around 50% through the college's placement cell. The highest salary package recorded is 15 LPA, while the lowest is 4 LPA, and the average package falls between 7 LPA and 8 LPA. However, placements are not guaranteed and largely depend on students' skills, efforts, and performance during recruitment. Companies evaluate students based on their knowledge, projects, and internships, making self-improvement and continuous learning essential for securing offers.
Infrastructure: The hostel is not worth it for the future. The food is bad, there is no Wi-Fi, no outings are allowed, and both rooms and toilets are not clean. Overall, it is a bad experience, so I do not recommend joining the hostel. However, the college is good.
Faculty: Faculty members are friendly, supportive, and highly knowledgeable. The curriculum is well-structured and provides a good learning experience. The examination process is fair and effectively evaluates students' understanding. Overall, the academic experience at the college is positive.
Other: I am interested in the aerospace sector and aspire to join organizations like ISRO, DRDO, NASA, NAL, HAL, or the defense sector. Additionally, I aim to improve lab facilities. The college provides good opportunities for events, connectivity, campus surroundings, scholarships, and extracurricular activities. However, it lacks cultural programs and fest events.

It focuses to build skills and upcoming future technology and make grown up students.
Placements: The placement of the Aerospace department is decent, with around 40% of students getting placed every year. The highest package offered in our department is around 7 LPA, the lowest is around 5 LPA, and the average is around 6 LPA. The top recruitment companies are Garuda, Vimana Labs India Pvt. Ltd., Yeli Aerospace, ISRO, HAL, etc. Almost every student gets placed after the internship, and in the past, companies like ISRO, DRDO, HAL, NAL, etc., have hired students. The roles include A.M.E. Engine Analyst, CFD Analyst, etc.
Infrastructure: Facilities our department offers include a library for extra knowledge, a department library, smart classrooms, and various experimental labs like the Aerodynamics Lab, Propulsion Lab, Fluid Dynamics Lab, etc. They provide a study room and a guest room for visitors. The campus also has high-speed Wi-Fi, and the food is average but healthy and clean, focusing on students' health. There is a 400-student capacity mess and many canteens on campus, along with medical support, sports ground, etc.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and supportive to their students, guiding them for the future and providing extra and deep explanations about concepts. Their teaching quality is good, and they enhance it by using the technology available in every classroom, such as projectors (AVR rooms). The course and curriculum are updated and aligned with the future, so students are prepared and can provide value to companies. The model of examination is excellent because they conduct small unit tests (CA 1 and CA 2) every month, followed by the final semester examination.
Other: The Aerospace course is my dream to study and add value to the aerospace industry, as well as serve the Indian defense. The best part is that we get to study all concepts from every department, such as Maths, Physics, Computer Science, and many more. I think they should focus more on practical knowledge. Yes, the college has fests, cultural events, sports, industry visits, local visits, and many other activities.

Overall satisfied but need little improvement in food and syllabus.
Placements: Almost 80% of students got placed. The highest package is around 3 LPA. Recruiters are from different airlines and companies. Our seniors got internships in government organisations like NAL and ISRO. Roles include aerospace engineer, design engineer, and drone operator.
Infrastructure: Labs must be serviced and some sophisticated equipment is missing, but on the whole, there is sufficient equipment for learning. About the food in hostel, it isn't convincing, though we have taken this up with our management several times, they are not ready to make any change. Canteen food facilities are good enough compared to the university hostel. Medical facilities are very well enough. Except for the food they serve in the hostel other things are good.
Faculty: Teachers are very well-qualified and they are promising in their roles. The course curriculum needs little adjustment like relevant to the GATE syllabus. I personally think framing the syllabus relevant to GATE will help the students in the future.
Other: I chose this course as it is different and specific, not offered by all engineering institutes. I don't think of anything specifically to improve. I only think of setting the syllabus to GATE quality. Events are very simple comparatively. There will be no fun. The institute is providing mandatory scholarships for all students at the time of admission. It is their responsibility to keep it active.

Review of Periyar Maniammai Institute of Science and Technology.
Placements: Around 74% of the students get placed from our college. The highest salary offered here will be around Rs. 60,000 per month and the lowest salary offered will be Rs. 30,000 per month. Top companies like HAL, JET Airways, Capgemini, etc., visit our campus for recruitment. Most of the students got their internships in Dronera and Sri Design Cad Technologies Solutions Pvt Ltd.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility, classrooms, library, medical facilities, indoor stadium, ground, gym, sports, games, etc., are available in our college. There are also other programs like NCC, NSS and YRC. The food served in our college canteen is good. Labs and classrooms are well furnished and equipped with the required equipment.
Faculty: Faculty members here are well knowledgeable and experienced to provide us with more knowledge about the subject. They clear doubts of the students at any time. They follow the outcome-based education (OBE) system. They provide a course plan for every semester, which makes students get both theory and practical knowledge at the same time.
Other: As I have an interest in space exploration, I have chosen this course. In every department, events like Open House, symposium, alumni lectures, seminar talks, etc., are organised. Scholarships are provided to eligible students based on some criteria.

Our college provides good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Almost 75% of the students got placed in our course, and the other students are not placed. The highest salary offered is Rs. 25,000 per month, and the average salary offered is Rs. 17,000 per month. The lowest salary offered is Rs. 10,000 per month. Top companies like ISRO, DRDO, NAL, and HAL visit the campus for recruitment. Almost 100% of the students got internships in our course. Roles offered are as a research scientist, assistant engineer, aircraft mechanic, etc.
Infrastructure: Our college provides free Wi-Fi, but it is a bit slower. Labs are simply fine. Classrooms have all the facilities like smart class (projectors), etc. The library is good and is having more valuable books. Food served in the mess is too good. Medical facilities are good with 24hrs services.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are more helpful, qualified and highly knowledgeable. The teaching quality is so good, and they share more information related to our course. The course curriculum is relevant, and it also makes students industry-ready.

It has a good environment but average level infrastructure.
Placements: Almost 50% of the students got placed. Others who did not get placed need quality to get placed. The highest salary offered is Rs. 25,000 per month and the lowest salary offered is Rs. 10,000 per month. ISRO and DRDO are some core companies where students got placed. Almost 100% of the students got some internships. Top roles offered to the students are research scientist, and main engineers may be.
Infrastructure: Free Wi-Fi is available, but it is a bit slow. There are good labs, but they are not well-developed. They are only at a basic level. There are neat and clean classrooms, and there is an excellent library with many books from different authors. Books are provided through the digital library.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified, very helpful and knowledgeable. Teaching level is average. The course curriculum is relevant to the subject, which is helpful for students to get ready for the future. Outcome-based education is easy, but it is not making them industry-ready.
Other: I have chosen this course because it is my childhood passion. It is a current developing course nowadays and also a specialised course, which doesn't have more awareness. Quality of education must be improved, and labs must be developed.
