However, it is important to note that other IIT institutes do offer direct admissions to M.Tech courses, if the candidate can fulfill the direct admission eligibility criteria. This eligibility criteria typically requires candidates to complete their BTech at the specific IIT institute with a minimum aggregate of 75% or above and no backlogs.

MTech lowest package data 2026 is not released. Earlier, lowest package recorded during NIT Trichy M.Tech placements 2024 was 3 LPA. In 2023, it was 5 LPA.

No, the IIT Hyderabad M.Tech admissions have been closed for the academic year 2026. Candidates were required to appear for GATE 2026 whose registrations were closed in November of 2025.
Candidates who missed the dates of GATE 2026 are required to wait for GATE 2027 to begin for M.Tech admissions at IIT Hyderabad.

Yes, IIT Hyderabad does offer concession to the SC and ST category students. The fees structure of M.Tech courses for the aforementioned students does not include the tuition fees.
This results in a total fees concession of INR 48,000 in the total M.Tech course fees at IIT Hyderabad.

No. It is not mandatory to carry a colour printout of the JEE Main admit card. Candidates can carry a black and white printout; just make sure that all details are clear. Check the clarity of the photo, QR code, Bar Code and other details after the printout and ensure that everything is readable.

No. Only the JEE Main admit card can be used for entry at the JEE Mains centre. The city slip cannot be used for entry.

No. NTA will not send the JEE Main admit card via email. Candidates have to download the admit card from the official website - jeemain.nta.nic.in.
