Yes. WBJEEB postponed the exam date to October 19, 2025. WBJEEB did not conduct the WB ANM/GNM exam on the scheduled date i.e. June 29, 2025. The revised exam date was released on September 2, 2025 on the official website. Candidates can check the entire exam schedule as it has been revised for all events. 

ANM is called Auxiliary Nursing and Midwifery while the full form of GNM is General Nursing and Midwifery). Both are two most popular nursing courses in India. West Bengal conducts a separate entrance exam for candidates domiciled in the state to grant admission to ANM and GNM courses. These two courses are distinct from the BSc nursing programme.

WB ANM GNM exam is conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board for admission to Auxiliary Nursing & Midwifery and General Nursing & Midwifery programme. ANM is a two-year course while GNM is a 3-year course. 

The WB ANM/GNM exam 2025 was held on October 19, 2025. The exam will be conducted in offline mode at the designated test centres in West Bengal. Each candidate will be provided with an OMR sheet. Candidates will have to darken the responses to choose the correct answer. Once a response is marked, it cannot be edited/changed/erased/modified. The entrance exam is conducted once a year by the exam-conducting body.

The WB ANM GNM exam pattern is very important to understand for candidates appearing for the exam. The exam is conducted in offline mode and the question paper takes 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete. Except for the English and logical reasoning sections, the questions will be in both English and Bengali. All the questions will be objective-type. All correct questions fetch 2 marks each and there is NO negative marking for the unattempted or incorrect options being chosen.

The WB ANM GNM 2026 application fee is different for various categories of candidates. Here is the details of the registration fee. For general category candidates, the application fee is INR 400 + applicable taxes and for the SC/ST/OBC candidates, it is INR 300 + applicable taxes.
